The Golf Course
Magnolia Greens Golf Course was designed by noted golf course architect Tom Jackson. The twenty-seven holes are made of the Magnolia, Camellia and Azalea nines. Generally, we operate as three, eighteen hole courses playing the Magnolia and Camellia nines, the Camellia and Azalea nines and the Azalea and Magnolia nines. Each combination plays to a par of seventy-two.
Our courses feature generous Bermuda grass fairways and large, Champion Bermuda Greens. The course features five sets of tees on each hole, allowing the golfer to play the course at a length that fits his skill level. Numerous water hazards and bunkers are strategically located to offer plenty of challenge for even the most accomplished player. Magnolia Greens Golf Course has been the site of many outstanding tournaments including four PGATour qualifying events.
The Practice Facilities
The practice facilities at Magnolia Greens consist of a full-scale practice range with a large natural grass teeing areas. Artificial turf, range mats are available for use as dictated by turf conditions and scheduled maintenance. There is a practice putting green and a practice chipping green. Two practice bunkers are available for practicing full bunker shots and green-side bunker shots. And, unlike many practice facilities, the practice balls are “top notch”, and are dispensed from a “state of the art” automated dispensing machine. There is no better place in the area to practice your game.
In an effort to provide our customers with the best driving range facilities in the area, we reserve time for maintenance on the range on Tuesday mornings. During this time the range will be closed and will reopen for practice by noon at the latest. Please call the pro shop at 910-383-0999 to confirm exact opening time, as it is often available before noon.
