The original eighteen holes, known as The Championship Course, was designed by noted golf course architect Tom Jackson. A par 72 course, it features generous, Bermuda grass fairways and large, Champion Bermuda Greens. The course features five sets of tees on each hole, allowing the golfer to play the course at a length that fits his skill level. Numerous water hazards and bunkers are strategically located to offer plenty of challenge for even the most accomplished player. The Championship Course has been the site of many outstanding tournaments including four PGATour qualifying events.
The Azalea Course, also designed by Tom Jackson, is a nine hole course that offers something for every golfer. From the "back tees" it offers a challenge equal to that of The Championship Course. However, if you want to play a course that's a little less demanding, and enjoy a low-key, stress free round, play the Short Tees. From these tees every hole plays as a par three. The Azalea Course is great for lots of different caliber golfers, from the expert player, to the casual, once-a-month foursome, to the beginner looking for a place to learn the game.
The practice facilities at Magnolia Greens consist of a full-scale practice range with natural grass teeing areas on each end. There is a practice putting green and a practice chipping green. Two practice bunkers are available for practicing full bunker shots and green-side bunker shots. And, unlike many practice facilities, the practice balls are "top notch", and are dispensed from a "state of the art" automated dispensing machine. There is no better place in the area to practice your game.
In an effort to provide our customers with the best driving range facilities in the area, we reserve time for maintainence on the range on Tuesday mornings. During this time the range will be closed and will reopen for practice by noon at the latest. Please call the pro shop at 910-383-0999 to confirm exact opening time, as it is often available before noon.
